Well everyone, the time has come. This will be my last post on this blog. I just wanted to thank all of you who have been reading this from the beginning. It means the world to me, and I hope you follow me over to my new blog. This blog was a good idea, but in the end it wasn't what I ended up wanting to do. I didn't want to be comitted to taking a picture of my outfit every single day. I just wanted to ramble, and share with you my most random thoughts throughout the day. So here is to the start of something new. I hope to see all of you over at my new blog! Come visit!
Alright. I have some news. I am going to be starting up a new blog soon! I am just ready for a new look, and a new beginning. I have finally decided that I want my blog to be more of a daily journal where I can share photos, and all my super random thoughts. My new blog is currently undergoing construction, but it will hopefully be done within the next week or two!
I really am so excited to start from scratch. I love this blog, but I don't feel like it fits my personality anymore. I have completely gone of track of what I originally wanted this blog to be, and I don't think there is anything wrong with that. People change. I didn't know it then, but when I started this blog I wasn't in the best place. I wasn't happy, and I think that reflects in the design of my blog. Everything just seems to dark, and I don't like it. I am not that way anymore.
You might be asking why not just give THIS blog a makeover. Well, I definitely thought about that. I even had a friend help me make a new header that was a lot more colorful and upbeat. I was headed on the right track. The thing is, the name of this blog doesn't inspire me anymore. I don't feel it makes sense with what I want to do now. Of course I will continue to share what I find beautiful, but I feel like the name puts too much pressure on me to have my blog fit a certain model. I don't like it. That is why I have changed the name, and everything else. I feel like my new blog name gives me the freedom to do whatever I want to do, and I can't wait to get started. I really am just counting down the days. I know there are not that many of you that read this blog, but for those of you that do I really hope you will follow me to my new blog. I love knowing that there are people out there that actually read and enjoy what I have to say. Things aren't going to really change. They are just going to make sense. So here is to a complete new start! I hope you decide to join me, and find out what happens in
Remember how I couldn't stop talking about Grouplove earlier today?? Well I still can't stop. I apologize, but we must ride this storm out together. Who knows when I will be back to my normal ways. I'm not really sure if I want to go back there.
Anyways, please enjoy this video. This was my favorite song that they performed. I know it is probably their most popular song, but that isn't why it was my favorite. The energy of the crowd and the band was pretty much unreal during this song. It was just perfect. I also just love this video. I think it really shows you their personalities. Love it!
In case you love the song so much you would be listening to it twice, here is the crazy music video for it. Enjoy
So I always wait to long to put these posts up. So I always have a billion pictures. Oh well. I HAD to do it today, because I attended the most brilliant concert ever yesterday!! But here is a little bit of everything.
Way to be Oly! 42-0
No more gelato :( I was sad.
This is what my life becomes when I am sick.
EXTREMELY hard work, but met some amazing people.
So much hard work was put into this store. I may have come home with blisters, but it is absolutely stunning!

My kids are a freaking hoot!
They are also very creative. Angry birds mad out of pom-poms!
Who needs them.
Got our tickets to the Big Ass Show!!
Imagine Dragons. It was a little hot...and squished.
This is how close we got to the stage for Grouplove... don't ask me how we did it, but I was having some fan girl moments. I was holding onto the bar people!

Now for my favorite pic of them all. It might be a little blurry, but every time I look at it I want to do a little fan girl scream... everyone get ready.

I wish I could explain all the emotion behind this one photograph. I honestly cannot even explain the pure joy I had through this show. This was hands down the funnest concert I have ever been to. It was full of dancing, laughing, crying (from being pushed around and squeezed so hard you couldn't breath), screaming, and jumping. Grouplove was absolutely fantastic. Of course the other bands were absolutely phenomenal, but there was something about seeing Grouplove that just made me let myself go. I didn't care if people saw me dancing. I didn't care if people heard me singing/screaming along with them. I didn't care if I looked crazy. I just didn't care. I just let myself go, and had the time of my life. For those of you who know me personally, you know how hard stuff like that is for me. I don't even know how it happened. I really just didn't care, and I loved every second of it. So thank you Grouplove for being amazingly crazy, odd, strange, and beautiful people! I had the time of my life with you guys. It was absolutely insane!
Ok everyone. Are you ready? I found it. It is beautiful. I would even say stunning. It is seriously a piece of art, and I want it. Scratch that, I need it. Ok... Drum roll please.
Bianchi Virata (1994?)
I have died. I am dead.
Do you see this thing? Have you ever seen anything like it? It is officially "the one." I have never wanted to own something as badly as I want this bicycle. There is just one small problem. It will probably take my entire life to save up for it. Darn you Bianchi. Why must you be so dang expensive? I WILL have you one day. It is officially a goal. It will happen people! It just will. Oh man.. I think I am in love.
Don't ask me why I love them so much. I just do. I love having conversation with people so unlike myself. I am so inspired and interested in people. How they think, and why they love the things they love. What experiences they have been through that make them act the way they do. I just love it.
You might be wondering what the heck I am talking about. I will tell you know. First off, I have an early class. When I say early I mean it starts at 8:30 am. That doesn't seem that early, but in order to make it to class on time I have to catch the bus at 7:17am. Let's just say I have A LOT of time to get to class. Here is another thing. Campus at 8:00am is pretty much deserted, and I absolutely love it. It is the perfect time for a nice walk to class, and a good time to enjoy listening to some music. Not to mention today it is pouring outside, so that made it about a billion times better.
Anyways, while walking to class today a guy stopped me asking where the student services building was. Let's just say I don't know my campus at all, so I only had an idea as to where it was. I asked him if he knew where the Union building was which led to him telling me he was actually from Brigham City, and was only here to take a test. Since I still had about a half hour before I had to go to class, I told him I could walk him there. He told me that he was not used to cities, and had already gotten lost on his way here. He was definitely a country boy. He was here to take a test so he could work on the railroad, which I found strangely awesome. I don't really know why I am telling you this. It was just fun talking to someone that I usually never would. I'm glad I didn't just tell him I didn't know where it was, and walk on because he somehow managed to make my day just because of the nice conversation. So... yeah. I love random encounters, and I wish they happened more.
To the cool country boy I met today, good luck with your test! It was a pleasure meeting you.

So I have a dilemma... The fifth season of Gossip Girl comes out tomorrow, and I don't know how to get my hands on it! You guys, I HAVE to watch the entire season before season six starts on Oct. 8. That means I have exactly 13 days to watch the entire fifth season! I am majorly stressing. I keep checking the library, but I am having no luck. I need ideas! I do not have $50 to drop on buying the whole season. Does anyone know if you can rent seasons of shows?? I should probably know that, but I don't. Help me fellow bloggers! I am desperate. I MUST be ready for season six.
So I have a situation. There is this bike. Let's just say it is absolutely beautiful. Like really, I think I might be in love with it. The first time I saw it... it might have taken my break away. Like for real, I freaked out. My friend was a witness. Let's also say that I pretty much comment on it every single time I see it which is almost every day. You see, it belongs to a student at the U. I actually have a class with said student. He is kind of hard to miss. He looks like Adam Sevani. If you don't know who that is... shame on you. That is just not ok. Just in case..
There you go.
Anyways... I want this bike people! It is quite the beauty. I do not know the exact model, but if I had to guess it would be this.
Isn't it gorgeous! Again, I am not quite sure if this is it or not, but if it is it would be none other than the Bianchi Tipo Corsa 28- T. I really have no idea what any of that means though. All I know is that it's pretty and I want it!
Ok, I will be done now. I just feel like this bike and I are destined to be together. Why else would I be forced to see it every. single. day! I guess we will see what the future holds.
Wow, it has been a while! Things have been crazy people! First off, I was deathly ill which is always so much fun. Second, I have been working at Anthropologie for the past two weeks getting it ready for the opening day this past Friday at City Creek. People... please go admire it. It is absolutely stunning! So much hard work was put into it. I am so grateful for the opportunity to be part of such an amazing team. I met some of the coolest people, and that is always awesome. Really though, go admire it. Especially the rocks in the window, and the birds nest. People, there were many blisters involved. I think they deserve some admiration.
What else have I been up to? Oh yeah, school... school... work... more SCHOOL! Is it sad that I already need a break from school? I am going to go with no, because I really feel like I can't be the only one. Last week consisted of two tests (aka death), one paper, math which always sucks, and freaking impossible solar system homework. I swear that class is going to be the death of me! Just saying.
Since I have been insanely busy, I decided to treat myself to a little road trip to Logan to visit my best friend who lives up there. I just needed a change of scenery, and Logan happens to be one of my favorite little towns. Don't ask me why, I just love it. It was quite the weekend you guys. I don't really know where to begin. It started with a tandem bike ride to Cafe Sabor which was actually quite delicious. After that we decided a two hour nap was kind of a good idea, and then we spent an insane amount of time getting ready for my very first toga party.... yeah you heard me. TOGA. PARTY.Oh, and to top it off, it was for a frat aka a freaking frat party. I am still trying to figure out how I possibly got talked into that one. I did learn a few things while attending. 1) It is quite difficult to make an attractive outfit using only a bed sheet, and still maintain looking modest. Who knew?? Oh that's right... EVERYONE IN THE FREAKING WORLD. 2) If you do not dance you WILL be picked up by someone with large muscles, and thrown into the air in order to show you how to "jump". 3) I can't dance to save my life. 4) I am going to stick to my indie rock from now on. 5) People sweat A LOT. 6) Although I did have a good time, I am pretty sure I only need to experience a toga party once. Glad that is over with.
Alrighty, now for the rest of the evening. Let's just say I learned a lot about people, myself, and what is truly important. Now I will go through those things. 1) Some people are just straight up rude. They will never take into consideration what you have been through, and the fact that they don't know you at all. My advice... Keep your head held high and know that you are better than that. Don't give into it. DO NOT give into it. Be the bigger person, and walk away no matter how hard it might be. 2) Be grateful for your friends. I can't even begin to explain how grateful I am for my friends. I am talking about the friends I know would do anything for me, and would defend me until the end of time. Do not your friends for granted. Tell them you love them, and let them know how much better your life is because they are in it. 3) God's timing can seem a little whack at times, but if you really sit back and think about it, it is ALWAYS perfect. 4) I think crying is refreshing. It let's you get all your emotions out at one time, and then you can move on and be stronger than you were before. 5) Sometimes a good run is all you need. 6) Everything happens for a reason. Sooner or later you will realize it. Sometimes it sucks, but when you figure out why it had to happen you are grateful that it did. 7) There is absolutely, positively nothing wrong with just being YOU. If people can't accept you for who you are, then leave them in the dust. They will only bring you down.
Life continues to amaze me, but I am loving every second of it. Don't get me wrong, bumps in the road are never fun, but don't let them get you down. Enjoy the pure adventure of life! There is so much to experience. Experience it! Get out there and do things, even if there is a risk of falling flat on your face. That is how you learn, and you can always ALWAYS get back up again.
Okay fellow bloggers. I have something to share with all of you. There is this awesome company called Denik. I am here to tell you a little bit about them. Here is how I came to know about them.
As many of you know I attended a few of the Twilight Concerts here in Salt Lake. Well, they usually have booths set up along the outskirts of the concert, and that is where my friends and I found Denik. So the pretty much sell the COOLEST notebooks and journals out there! All the art for the covers is submitted by artists themselves, and then you can go onto their website and vote for the ones you want to be made into notebooks.
Pretty cool right?
That isn't even the best part! Part of the profit from each notebook or journal they sale goes to building schools around the school. I don't know about you, but I couldn't think of a better cause to support. As many of you know, I have only ever worked for schools so this is something pretty near and dear to my heart. There is nothing I support more than giving every child a chance at an education.
Something else I really love about this company is their message. Their main goal is to show that art can change the world, and that it can make it a better place. I seriously believe that with all my heart. I believe that art is one of the few things that really can impact and change the world.
So you might be asking yourselves why I am choosing to share this will you all. Well I have decided that I really want to be a part of this. Believe me, I never do ANYTHING like this, but I really believe in this cause. I was able to talk to the creators of this awesome business while checking out their booth, and they really are some of the neatest guys ever! You can learn more about them here.
Anyway, I submitted some photos and two of them were chosen to be put in their gallery. Here is how it works. If I can get 500 people to love my photo, then they will produce it. I really like how that works. It makes it less of a competition. As long as it gets up to that number they will produce it. I think it's a good way to make sure that things will sell, and there is no time limit on it so that's pretty cool. Anyway, it would be awesome if you guys could go and like my pictures.
I really would love to be a part of this cause. It would really mean a lot to me, so tell people about it. Submit some art yourselves! Let's all be a part of it. Submit your work. Let art bring us together, and change the world.
Look everyone! An outfit post! I know these are rare, but I actually had time to do one today. Whoo! It is quite the miracle.
I apologize with all my heart for the state of my Toms. Yes, they both have holes in them, and yes I do wear them out in public. Guess who cares... Not me! Haha Obviously.
Today has been such a fantstic day! You want to know why? Well I will tell you why. I got to skype my best buddy Cason! Cason has been in the army for almost a year now, and it was the first time I have seen his actual face in almost a stinking year! So as you can tell, I was pretty darn excited to get to talk/see him today.
I really like skype. I have decided that I am going to try to skype someone different every week. Almost all of my friends go to a different school than me, so I think it will be the perfect way to actually get to see them, and make sure I keep in touch with everyone.
This summer was really the summer to be with friends, and I feel like I have grown so much closer to all of mine. It was the first time in a VERY long time that I really got to spend quality time with all of my close friends. I don't really know what I would do without them. They really helped me get through this summer when things got tough for me. I am so grateful for all of them. They know who they are. I love you guys. I couldn't have done it without you. Thank you for always being there for me, and making sure I was having fun and happy. I seriously couldn't have done it without you guys. Love you!!
Well, that is it for today. I will leave you with what I am currently listening to. Enjoy!
I have not been able to get this song out of my head lately! I have absolutely no clue why. I just love it, and I love The Kooks. Here is the thing with my music. I am constantly getting new music and I never have the time to listen to it all. So what ends up happening is I have a bunch of music on my ipod that I really have never listened to. I actually really like it this way. That's how I stumble upon beauties like this song. I discovered this on my ipod about two weeks ago, and haven't been able to stop listening to it since. Love it!
Elanor of Missing Lovebirds. Her photo's are absolutely gorgeous, and she is always going to cool and fun places. If I were to really get into blogging, I think my blog would end up being a lot like hers. Please enjoy her awesome style.
I haven't posted Instagram pics in quite a while...oops. Here is a butt load. Pretty much from July 24th on. Enjoy!
