The Great Salt Lake

So this past Thursday was the Band of Horses concert. Let's not get into how excited I was for this concert. This concert may or may not have been the concert I had been looking forward to the entire summer. It may or may not have been absolutely FANTASTIC!

For me, this was a concert where I knew most of the songs, but not the words. Does that make any sense? I love Band of Horses, but it's not like they are my all time favorite band. I really enjoy their music though, and knew it was going to be a great concert. All I wanted was for them to play my favorite song, which is this one here.

Guess what!? They played it! Whooo! My night was complete. I also couldn't leave the concert without a Band of Horses concert tee now could I? Here is an outfit post of my awesome new shirt!

You can't really see it here, but I am definitely wearing horse earrings. I was feeling quite festive.

Sorry about my gnarly Toms. It might be time to get a new pair soon. Sadly, these ones are probably the best looking pair I have. Oops.

Other than going to awesome concerts, my weekend has consisted of a big ol' family reunion. I actually quite enjoy family reunions. It has been awesome seeing all my cousins I usually don't get to see. It is my great grandmas 90th birthday, so it is sort of a family reunion/birthday extravaganza. It is quite splendid.

I hope everyone is having a delightful weekends. Mine has been filled with lots of cake and cookies, games, and memories. What could be better?

Dear fellow bloggers/internet people,

I am in need of your help. So many of you know that I am recently become a little obsessed with the show known as Gossip Girl. [insert look of disgust/surprise/disappointment here]

Well, I have a problem. I have just finished season four, and I cannot find the whereabouts of season five anywhere! Please people, help me! I need to know what happens next. It is kind of killing me.

So if any of you lovelies know of a place I can rent/ view for free that would be fantastic. I unfortunately do not have $50 to drop on the whole season. I wish I could, but I just can't. I am poor. It is a sad fact.

Anyways, please let me know! I am dying over here!

Lost In My Mind

dress/Cotton On :: shirt/Old Navy :: belt/Anthropologie :: Toms/JMR

Here is my half-hearted attempt at doing an outfit post. I figured I haven't done one in pretty much a million years, so here ya go! It's Sunday, and simple is always perfect for Sunday. Nothing to crazy. I think the thing I love most about fashion is how much you really can express yourself through it. I love all things creative, but I am not good at creative things. I am an awful artist, and my photography is pretty eh. Clothing is the one thing I have that helps me be creative. I don't care what people say. I think I am good at it. Being creative through clothes that is. I am not the type of girl to dress for a guy. I 100% am always dressing for me, and there is nothing wrong with that. It is my art.

P.S- I really need a better camera. I also need a better setting. Maybe next time. Probably not. Haha

Felt Hat

So when I really want something, I see it absolutely EVERYWHERE. This mostly is just clothes, but sometimes it's other things. Today it is clothes. I have been wanting a felt hat for quite some time now, and I swear I am seeing them around every corner. I decided it is time to splurge and acquire one of these said hats. I have my eye on this one.

The best thing about H&M is it is fairly cheap, so I don't feel bad spending the money! Yay, H&M!

I found this hat through this blog. Here are a few ways she styled it! Absolutely in love.

Absolutely lovely.

What Sets You Apart?

In case I haven't mentioned it already, I love Emma Stone. She is one of those celebs you see and just think, "They have to be an awesome person." Maybe that is just me. Oh well. Moving on.

I found this quote on the great Pinterest the other day, and have been in love with it since. It is so simple, but I find it beautifully worded. Maybe it's because I needed to hear it.

Sometimes I just sit and think about how random of a person I am. I just feel different. I feel like I think on a different brain wave than every one else around me. The way I think it so random. I change my mind like literally every five seconds. I don't know why. It just happens. Sometimes there is not problem with this, but other times it proves to be a big problem. Especially when other people are involved. I wish I could explain my crazy way of thinking, and my insanely confusing brain, but in order to do that I would need to understand it myself.

I honestly was sitting in my room, listening to music, and becoming very frustrated with my crazy brain when I found this quote. It is nothing extravagant. It is simple. It is exactly what I needed to hear. My crazy, messed up, insane, confused, and outrageous brain is beautiful. The way I think is perfect. It is what makes me, me. I guess I was getting frustrated with it, because I was afraid of hurting people or that they wouldn't accept it. I realize now that those people don't matter. If you can't handle my confusing self, then don't. I have never really cared much about what people think of me anyway. I like my crazy clothes. I like my crazy hair. I like my crazy thoughts.

These are the things that keep me creative, and without creativity I don't see much point in anything.

Wow, I really ramble a lot. I always forget that when I ramble I stop making sense. Hopefully you can decipher your way through this. If not, I will try to say it in proper English.

Let's be honest. I probably can't do that either. Haha Well I am going to stop now. I love Emma Stone. She is fantastic. This quote is perfect. Embrace who you are. Who you are is beautiful. Don't let anyone tell you different. If they try, tell them they can suck it.

Well, maybe something a little nicer, but if you can't think of anything it works.

Goodbye lovelies.

Obsessed

So let's get one thing straight... as of July 15, 2012 I have seen The Amazing Spider-man a total of three times. Do I have a problem? Absolutely not!

The reason for seeing this film three times may or may not be because of this unreal, amazing, gorgeous couple right here.

It may or may not be because of this specific actor either.

I may or may not have almost died when I saw the above picture for the first time. Just saying. It may or may not be the background of my phone. Creepy? Absolutely not!

I guess all I have to say is I am completely OBSESSED with Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone. Believe me, I don't really get into Hollywood couples. It has never really been my thing, but when I saw these two together... I died. They ARE the most perfect couple on the entire freaking planet I kid you not! This was my thinking for a couple weeks. Then I found out something horrible. I found out something that changed everything.

Andrew Garfield is British.

Emma Stone, I love you and you two are as cute as pie, but the above statement just made this a whole new ball game. This changes things. We may have a problem.

The End
