Sloom

Wow, it has been a while! Things have been crazy people! First off, I was deathly ill which is always so much fun. Second, I have been working at Anthropologie for the past two weeks getting it ready for the opening day this past Friday at City Creek. People... please go admire it. It is absolutely stunning! So much hard work was put into it. I am so grateful for the opportunity to be part of such an amazing team. I met some of the coolest people, and that is always awesome. Really though, go admire it. Especially the rocks in the window, and the birds nest. People, there were many blisters involved. I think they deserve some admiration.

What else have I been up to? Oh yeah, school... school... work... more SCHOOL! Is it sad that I already need a break from school? I am going to go with no, because I really feel like I can't be the only one. Last week consisted of two tests (aka death), one paper, math which always sucks, and freaking impossible solar system homework. I swear that class is going to be the death of me! Just saying.

Since I have been insanely busy, I decided to treat myself to a little road trip to Logan to visit my best friend who lives up there. I just needed a change of scenery, and Logan happens to be one of my favorite little towns. Don't ask me why, I just love it. It was quite the weekend you guys. I don't really know where to begin. It started with a tandem bike ride to Cafe Sabor which was actually quite delicious. After that we decided a two hour nap was kind of a good idea, and then we spent an insane amount of time getting ready for my very first toga party.... yeah you heard me. TOGA. PARTY.Oh, and to top it off, it was for a frat aka a freaking frat party. I am still trying to figure out how I possibly got talked into that one. I did learn a few things while attending. 1) It is quite difficult to make an attractive outfit using only a bed sheet, and still maintain looking modest. Who knew?? Oh that's right... EVERYONE IN THE FREAKING WORLD. 2) If you do not dance you WILL be picked up by someone with large muscles, and thrown into the air in order to show you how to "jump". 3) I can't dance to save my life. 4) I am going to stick to my indie rock from now on. 5) People sweat A LOT. 6) Although I did have a good time, I am pretty sure I only need to experience a toga party once. Glad that is over with.

Alrighty, now for the rest of the evening. Let's just say I learned a lot about people, myself, and what is truly important. Now I will go through those things. 1) Some people are just straight up rude. They will never take into consideration what you have been through, and the fact that they don't know you at all. My advice... Keep your head held high and know that you are better than that. Don't give into it. DO NOT give into it. Be the bigger person, and walk away no matter how hard it might be. 2) Be grateful for your friends. I can't even begin to explain how grateful I am for my friends. I am talking about the friends I know would do anything for me, and would defend me until the end of time. Do not your friends for granted. Tell them you love them, and let them know how much better your life is because they are in it. 3) God's timing can seem a little whack at times, but if you really sit back and think about it, it is ALWAYS perfect. 4) I think crying is refreshing. It let's you get all your emotions out at one time, and then you can move on and be stronger than you were before. 5) Sometimes a good run is all you need. 6) Everything happens for a reason. Sooner or later you will realize it. Sometimes it sucks, but when you figure out why it had to happen you are grateful that it did. 7) There is absolutely, positively nothing wrong with just being YOU. If people can't accept you for who you are, then leave them in the dust. They will only bring you down.

Life continues to amaze me, but I am loving every second of it. Don't get me wrong, bumps in the road are never fun, but don't let them get you down. Enjoy the pure adventure of life! There is so much to experience. Experience it! Get out there and do things, even if there is a risk of falling flat on your face. That is how you learn, and you can always ALWAYS get back up again.

Happy Sunday everyone.
